Columbus Symphony Orchestra

Branding

Overview

An orchestra founded in the 1920s felt out of touch with the community and needed a new brand that could better appeal to a younger audience without alienating their current base. To accomplish this objective a bright and welcoming color palette was introduced along with inspiration from the community. As Columbus, Indiana is known for being a mecca of architecture, the new design took influence from the surrounding modern structures, showcasing bold geometric shapes and sweeping lines hinting at the movement and fluidity heard in the music the orchestra performs.
